O objetivo deste trabalho foi de verificar o efeito fisiológico da aplicação foliar do extrato de alga Ascophyllum nodosum e do ácido glutâmico no desenvolvimento inicial de crisântemo. De acordo com os resultados obtidos pode-se verificar que o extrato de alga apresenta efeito significativo na altura e no diâmetro dos caules e massa matéria seca das raízes. Em relação ao ácido glutâmico não foi observado efeito significativo nas características avaliadas.
