廠商在進行對外直接投資時，可能因其經營策略而投資與本業不同之行業，本文乃針對我國製造業廠商探討海外投資行業多樣化的決定因素。本研究利用經濟部統計處於2007年所實施之《製造業對外投資實況調查報告》問卷資料，以Poisson Model分析我國海外投資廠商在廠商行業、廠商規模、研發密集度、技術來源、獲利情形、勞力密集度、資本密集度及海外資本支出八項因素之影響。實證結果發現，廠商規模、技術來源及海外資本支出是我國海外投資廠商投資行業多樣化的決定因素，當廠商規模越大、技術來源越多及海外資本支出越高時，其投資行業多樣化的程度越高。
